Eliseev, a native of Yaroslavl province. The founder of the dynasty, Peter Eliseev, was a serf gardener for count Sheremetev. One winter, when numerous guests were gathered at the manor, he served fresh strawberries that had been miraculously grown at this time of year. Everyone present was surprised: a Blizzard was blowing outside the window, it was freezing in the late thirties, and in front of them were fragrant fresh berries in vases. The count immediately signed a free license to his talented gardener and even gave money to open a small trade, which later, they say, he greatly regretted: although Russia is rich in talents, it was not easy to find a replacement for the released wizard. It was with such a legend, and most likely the above was true, that the dynasty of merchants Eliseyev began.
